Silent Things
Silent things shows start by showing disabled people in a very non stereo-typical way, that even people with social problems you can find a way to interact with them, but we then find out the contradiction within the film as he changes to a different person This also implies that disabled people can be dangerous and need to be cared. for or things could go wrong.
The Sound editing when he starts to turn and the sound goes numb, gives us a beginning feeling of what this condition could be like. The way in which is shot, wants us to feel sympathy for the man, even though he tried to get a younger girl to travel with him on the ferry, which could also be considered wrong but the film shy's away from this piece of evidence and wants us to feel for him and the fact that its just the condition that made him lure the girl to the ferry.
His condition is shown almost childlike, as he uses plays with a kite as a hobby which he then refers back to it at the end, suggesting its something constant within his life, something he can go back too. His communication is very immature, compared to the younger lady who seems a lot younger than him because of here backpack which suggest traveling even though she is just away from home she seems mature, but also acts as an adult over him. The way in the editing also has many blurs and discoloration also gives us an insight into the mans mind, and how he views his world.
You need a lot more detail in your analysis Harry.
